Disney’s Demi Lovato Seeks In-Patient Care

Disney Star Demi Lovato has left her world concert tour and checked into an in-patient treatment center for help with emotional and physical issues.

In a statement issued Monday, her publicist said that the singer-actress had left the tour over the weekend and sought treatment for issues she had been dealing with for some time.  The statement cautioned against using the term rehab to describe the treatment.

18 year old Lovato was three months into a world tour with the Jonas Brothers. They were scheduled to perform in Chile, Brazil and Argentina over the next two weeks.

Her publicist announced that Lovato regrets that she unable to finish the tour but is looking forward to resuming work in the near future.

Along with her solo career as a singer, Lovato has the co-starring role in both of Disney’s Camp Rock movies and the lead role in Disney’s TV series Sonny With a Chance.
