Dunkin’ Donuts iOS App Updated With Apple’s Passbook

There’s good news for owners of iOS Devices who regularly visit Dunkin’ Donuts.

Yesterday, the company announced that Apple’s Passbook has been integrated into its free mobile app, which has been downloaded over a million times since its release.

Customers will now be able to use an iPhone or an iPod Touch to pay at eligible restaurants.

The Dunkin’ Donuts Cards will be added to Passbook, and items can be paid for either inside the restaurant or at the drive-thru window.

Balances are updated as soon as the payment is made.

Customers will be able to use the Dunkin’ Donuts app to add money, auto-recharge and see all transactions made through the cards. The Cards can be gifted through e-mail, Facebook or text-messages, with balances available for between $2 – $100.

The app can also be used to locate Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants, and users will see a notification on the lock screen whenever a Dunkin’ Donuts is nearby.

Will you use Passbook for Dunkin’ Donuts? Feel free to share your thoughts.
