A new season of Dancing With the Stars is set for March 19, and the list of stars rumored to be competing in the ABC reality dancing show is growing.
Nothing is official yet, but TMZ reported today that Maria Menounos, a co-host of Warner Bros.’s entertainment show “Extra,” will be one of the stars tripping the light fantastic in the competition for the Mirrored Ball Trophy. Last season the trophy was won by actor and motivational-speaker J.R. Martinez, and his professional counterpart Karina Smirnoff.
Other celebrities that are currently rumored to have signed up for the 2012 DWTS season (its 14th) include: actor/singer and former husband of Heather Locklear, Jack Wagner; actress/comedian and co-host of ABC’s “The View”, Sherri Shepherd; and actress (best know for playing Laura Ingalls Wilder in “Little House On the Prairie” during the late 70’s, early 80’s) Melissa Gilbert.
The full roster of the celebrities and dancers that will compete in the next season of “Dancing With the Stars” is expected to be announced on “Good Morning America” Tuesday morning.
