Battlefield 4 developer DICE and publisher EA have been quiet on the game’s compatibility for Xbox 720 and PS4.
However, a new report has surfaced that quotes an EA official confirming the title’s arrival on PS4.
Polygon quotes an unnamed official present at GDC 2013 as saying that Battlefield 4 will be coming to PS4. According to Electronic Arts officials ‘The game is coming to Windows PC, PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360’.
The sources also mentioned there is no price announced yet.
EA previously hinted at the game’s possibility on the PS4 when they were quoted as being ‘excited’ about it.
Blake Jorgensen, the CFO at EA, gave this answer when asked a question about PlayStation 4;
“It is amazing what the imagination of the game developers are allowed to do with that much power’. ‘At the end of the day we are very excited about Sony’s platform. We feel there’s a huge opportunity there. The technical power on the platform is going to allow us to do a substantial amount of things that have never been done before.”
