Election Results Coming Soon: Poll Closing Schedules

Election results will be coming soon. Some polls begin closing at 6 PM, and the hard-fought races will come to an end. Only the counting of ballots will be left to be done.

Polling stations in Kentucky and Indiana are set to close at 6 PM Eastern time. Reports of the counts should begin very soon afterwards. At 7 PM polling stations in most of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia, will close.

Polls in North Carolina, Ohio, and West Virginia, will close at 7:30 PM. This will be followed at 8 PM by the closing of the polls in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Washington DC, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and major portions of South Dakota and Texas.

The Arkansas polls close at 8:30 PM.

At 9 PM polls in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, and Wyoming close.

At 10 PM, polls close in Idaho, Iowa, Montana, most of North Dakota, and Utah.

11 PM sees polls close in California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Oregon and most of Washington have a vote by mail system, with ballots required to the dropped off by this time.

Polls in parts of Hawaii close at 11 PM and 12 midnight Eastern Standard Time, parts of Alaska close at 12 and 1 AM Eastern Standard Time.
