After pod2g revealed evad3rs have received over 40 million page views and 5 million unique visits on the evasi0n untethered jailbreak web page, the team is stealing headlines again.
According to a tweet from Planetbeing, one of the members of the team, Evasi0n 1.1 has been released.
The tool can be used to jailbreak all compatible devices running iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2 and 6.1. The update should resolve the issues of long loading times and crashing of the weather app.
The information from the tweet also states there’s no need for users to download the new version if they’ve already jailbroken the device using the tool, and there’s nothing in the update that’s not already present in Cydia.
Some users may have to clear their browser cache to see the update.
Already jailbroken devices can update within Cydia, while those thinking of doing so can use the update tool.
Apple has already seeded iOS 6.1.1 to developers, and when it’s released publicly, all the exploits are going to be patched.
Planetbeing also states if users continue to face problems after the update with weather app, it may be because of AppSync or another bad tweak.
