Facebook Phone OS May Be Called ‘Facebook Home’ – Reports

Facebook is highly expected to announce the ‘Facebook Phone’ on April 4th.

The device is said to come with a revamped Android interface, which will be called‘Facebook Home’ according to latest reports.

9to5Google reports their sources have said that the tagline of Facebook’s invitation for the media event at Menlo Park revealed the name of the actual product: Facebook Home.

@evleaks also believes this is the name the social giant is going to go with. He tweeted “The version of Facebook for Android currently on this device needs to be upgraded to support Facebook Home.”

From the details known so far, experts believe the Facebook Phone will look similar to the iPhone, and it will be integrated with several Facebook apps.

The WSJ says the Facebook interface over Android devices is an attempt to win over Android owners. They also believe it’s not going be revamped in the same way as Amazon’s Kindle Fire OS, despite modifications making everything possible. This particular story makes a lot of sense for ‘Facebook Home’.

Would you go for a new Android Phone with Facebook interface?
