Fewer Actors Reprising Roles For The Huntsman

The original cast members of “Snow White And The Huntsman” returning to their roles, grows shorter.

According to Deadline, only two undisclosed dwarfs from the movie starring Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth would return for the upcoming prequel to the 2012 fantasy action film. Eddie Marsan, Toby Jones and Nick Frost, who played dwarfs Duir, Coll and Nion respectively, are not expected to reprise their portrayed characters. Jones and Frost apparently were unable to come to contractual agreements with the production studios. Marsan, committing himself to another project, “Ray Donovan,” prevented him from signing on to “The Huntsman.”

Director Frank Darabont, who had reportedly signed on to the project, had also backed out earlier this January, due to creative differences with the studio. Rupert Sanders, who directed the original movie, would have likely returned to his duties, but photographs emerging of him intimately kissing actress Stewart back in August 2012, compromised his chances. Emily Blunt is currently in talks to portray the unnamed villain of the film.

“The Huntsman” is scheduled for release April 22, 2016.
