Final Downton Abbey Season Airs In U.S. Jan 3, Plus Streaming Info

Downton Abbey Season 6, its final season, will begin airing in the U.S. on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 9pm EST/8pm CST on PBS.

Downton Abbey Season 6 starts off in 1925 and with it comes threats of tumult for Downton’s residents as well as the unraveling of past scandals. No one is immune including the Crawley family and the castle’s staff.

Episodes from Downton Abbey Season 6 will air on consecutive Sundays from January 3 – March 6, 2016.

Downton Abbey’s Final Season Premiere will run for 90 minutes. Episodes 2-7 will run for 60 minutes; Episode 8 for 90 minutes; and Episode 9– the grand season finale– for 120 minutes on March 6.

Full rebroadcasts of Downton Abbey episodes from Season 6 will be available for streaming online at www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece. Each episode will become available the day after its original air date.
