Rovio recently announced plans for Angry Birds Toons, the new animated cartoon series that’s going to premier on March 16th and 17th.
Those looking forward to watching the series weren’t sure where to tune in, but today’s announcement from the Finland based developer answers coverage details.
According to Rovio, Angry Birds Toons episodes will be airing through traditional distribution channels as well as the Angry Birds apps. Angry Birds have been downloaded over 1.5 million times across different platforms, so a lot of consumers are expected to tune in.
The first episode of the new series is titled ‘Chuck Time’, and it will be airing on March 17th. Rovio mentions a new ‘Toons channel button’ will available in the Angry Birds app on Sunday.
The button will provide streaming for on-demand content and users will be able to access a brand new episode that airs every week.
Apart from the apps, Angry Birds Toons would also air on Smart TVs, on demand video channels and connected devices.
