The trailer for season 3 of the CW’s Arrow has been released.
The trailer begins by giving a brief recap of the previous season before continuing into the season 3 glimpse.
We see Oliver Queen and Laurel Lance together as business partners, though the partnership might be short lived as a new bidder for Queen Consolidated, played by Brandon Routh, enters the story.
The trailer moves into a confrontation between Oliver and Diggle, a hint at a possible growth in Oliver and Felicity Smoak’s personal relationship, the return of Black Canary, and a new villain.
The on-going mystery of Oliver Queen’s whereabouts during his five year absence is also teased, showing him running through the streets of a foreign country, fighting or possibly training, as well as attempted escape.
Also featured in the trailer is a brief glimpse of Roy Harper donned in full superhero costume.
Quentin Lance, who was left dying from a wound at the end of season 2, is briefly shown, as well as a clip of a seriously injured (or worse) Felicity Smoak.
The trailer ends with Green Arrow repeating his well-known line, “You have failed this city,” to an unknown recipient.
Season 3 of Arrow premieres on October 8th, although the two episodes featuring scientist Barry Allen from season 2 will be shown on October 1 as a lead into the spin-off series, The Flash.
