Five Finger Death Punch’s third album American Capitalist is debuted by their new single, “Under and Over It,” which will be released today (July 27).
The heavy metal band formed in 2005 in Los Angeles, California. They released their first album The Way of the Fist in 2007 and their second album War Is the Answer in 2009. War is the Answer was certified gold by the Recording Industry Associate of America in 2011.
According to Blabber Mouth, War Is The Answer debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard album chart, while their single “Far From Home” reached No. 2 on the rock radio chart, and the band’s cover of “Bad Company” hit No. 1.
Five Finger Death Punch’s third album, American Capitalist, will be available for purchase in stores, on the band’s website, iTunes, as well as on Amazon Oct. 11, 2011.
Lead singer of Five Finger Death Punch, Ivan Moody states, “I literally laid every ounce of blood I had on this one. We are a people’s band. Our fans understand us because of who we are. We’ve never tried to be anybody else but Five Finger Death Punch. If you’re inclined to please the whole world, you’ve got to take a step back and realize that at the end of the day, you have to be you- first and foremost. Otherwise, you’re useless to anyone else.”
