Police in Lorain, Ohio, arrested a man in connection with the discovery of at least 10 children, 5 of which were reported as missing, in his backyard shed.
The man, Kenneth Freeman, was arrested around 2 a.m. Tuesday. He is 39 years old.
When police, acting on a tip, arrived at the home, Freeman appeared intoxicated and tried to close the door to the shed. Upon investigation, police say they found at least 10 children hiding in the shed. They ranged from 12 to 17 years old. When Freeman was questioned, he became unruly, and was arrested for obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
At least one of the children, a teen age boy who was reported as missing by his parents, yelled at police, insisting that no one had done anything wrong. He and another teenage boy were taken to the Lorain County Detention Home on delinquency charges. The remaining children were issued summons and returned to their parents.
Freeman is being held at the Lorain County jail pending a September 9th court appearance.
