FLUX Backpack Now Available For Pre-order

FLUX Backpack Now Available For Pre-order

Torch announced yesterday that the new FLUX Backpack is now available for pre-order at www.TorchApparel.com.

Featuring a uniquely integrated red LED light panel, the backpack boosts nighttime visibility for the wearer.

At less than one millimeter thick, the LED panel is extremely thin and virtually unnoticeable during the daytime. Both flexible and waterproof, it’s designed to last as long as the backpack without requiring replacement.

The LED runs on button cell batteries and lasts between 2 to 5 hours depending on the light setting, either continuous or flash mode. Batteries are removable and can be recharged using any standard USB 2.0 charging port. The LED panel itself can also be removed and used as a seat post mounted bicycle light.

The FLUX Backpack is the second product from Torch, and comes on the heals of their recently released T1 helmet. This helmet won Outside Magazine’s Gear of the Show Award at last month’s Interbike trade show.

According to the company, the FLUX Backpack is targeted mainly towards cyclists though they are looking at making a special version for climbers and cavers in the future. Available in red or black with a suggested retail of $180, it’s currently on sale on the company’s site for $120.
