Free 7-inch Android tablets are available today in TigerDirect’s Black Friday sale.
The catch?
They’re free “after a mail-in rebate”.
And, oh… to qualify for the mail in rebate, you have to activate the McAffee 2015 auto-renewal feature with your credit card.
The McAffee 2015 auto-renewal can be cancelled later… but you’ll have to remember to deactivate it between 10 to 12 months from now, according to the terms.
How’s your memory with things like that? This is when email alerts from Google Calendar come in handy.
The tablet is a 7-inch ProScan with a dual-core, 1ghz, processor. It comes loaded with Android 4.4 (KitKat).
The “free” tablet features a .3 megapixel front facing camera, 8GB of storage, a multi-touch display, connects over WiFi, and (of course) includes McAffee 2015.
TigerDirect lists the ProScan tablet with a retail price of $149. The sale price is $69. Shipping is free.
The deal is good through 12/3/2014, according to TigerDirect. There’s a limit of one rebate per person or household, and the rebate request must be post-marked within 30 days of purchase.
Is a 7-inch tablet worth jumping through these hoops for?
