The fact is, cooking a Turkey is not as easy as it looks (it looks easy?), so Butterball has a free turkey hotline (consisting of phone, email and online chat) to help you out and make sure your Thanksgiving goes off without a hitch.
You can either call them at 1-800-288-8372 to speak to a live operator, email them using this form, or go online to their site for a live chat.
Phone operators are available now through Christmas Eve and will be available on Thanksgiving Day as well; you can see the complete phone schedule below.
The hotline, which is entering its 17th year, is made up of chefs and cooking experts to answer all your questions.
From defrosting, basting and saving an overcooked turkey to how to make stuffing or create the perfect souffle, they have the answers.
They also offer recipes, like their tasty Pumpkin Pie sundaes, as well as tips, like when and how to properly use a thermometer.
The operators are all there to help and will walk you through whatever you’re doing- or doing wrong.
Personally, I think it’s a great service for consumers, like having your very own Food Network chef on call (minus the cameras)
