Parents who want to give their kids the gift of “talking” to Santa can thanks to a free “Call Santa Hotline” phone number.
The service is simple to use: just call the number: 1-951-262-3062 and kids will get a message from Santa and can leave one for him too.
Here’s the message that plays when you call:
“Ho, Ho, Ho Merry Christmas, this is Santa Claus and you have reached my personal hotline. We have been very busy making all of those toys to deliver on Christmas morning and I want you to know that your family loves you very much and so do I.”
“So be good and don’t forget to always listen to your parents. When you hear the tone please leave me your Christmas gift wish list and holiday cheer. And remember kids, I know who’s been naughty and who’s been nice. Merry Christmas and I’ll see you soon.“
This hotline was created back in 2009 by Long Beach company Free Conference Call.com in response to the possibility that the U.S. Postal Service would not be able to fund the Letters To Santa Post Office that year.
Company president Dave Erickson told reporters he created the service: “to ensure that kids of all ages have a safe and fun opportunity to convey their wishes to Santa in time for Christmas”.
The one drawback with this service is that kids can’t have a conversation with Santa and it’s not personalized, but it’s still lots of fun and kids will know Santa got their list.
Plus, it sends kids a positive message, telling them they are loved and encouraging them to behave.
For those looking for a more personal phone call there is the “Santa Call Me” phone service, where a live Santa calls your house and talks to your kids. Parents call ahead of time to give Santa all their information, so Old St. Nick can call them by name and tailor what he says.
This is a great service as well, but it will cost parents between $19.99 and $32.99, depending on when your calling.
Also, there is an additional charge if Santa will be talking to multiple kids in the house.
