Doughnut lovers mark your calendars because this Friday, June 5, is National Donut Day and some of your favorite stores are handing out free donuts to celebrate.
Participating stores include Dunkin’ Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Entemmann’s and more. Here are all the details:
Dunkin’ Donuts: Participating Stores nationwide are offering customers 1 free doughnut with the purchase of any drink; customers can choose ANY flavor and the deal is available all day.
Krispy Kreme: Customers can get 1 free doughnut at participating Stores nationwide- no purchase necessary. Customers can choose ANY flavor and the deal will be available all day, while supplies last.
Entenmann’s: Entenmann’s is having a Facebook Sweepstakes, where the winner will receive a free supply of doughnuts for the year. Contest is going on now through July 3.
Shipley Do-Nuts: Participating locations are offering customers 1 free glazed doughnut, from 5 A.M. (EST)- 12 P.M. (EST).

National Donut Day was first introduced in 1938 by Salvation Army workers, called ‘Donut Lassies’ who surprised soldiers with doughnut deliveries during World War I.
