Free Month Of HBO NOW Available To Apple Users

HBO NOW is going to be available in April, and iOS users get their first month of the new streaming service for free.

A subscription to HBO NOW will normally cost $14.99 a month. HBO and Apple are offering the first month free, for a limited time, for users that sign up through an Apple TV, iPhone, or iPad.

According to HBO, HBO NOW will include access to every episode of every season of HBO’s original programming. HBO Original series include Game of Thrones, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, Funny or Die Presents, True Blood, Bored To Death, Rome, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, True Detective, The Leftovers, and more.

HBO has not said what day the new service will launch on, nor if they will take pre-orders. However, they do offer a sign up form for email alerts on their new site: hbonow.com.

Yesterday, Apple TV was named the ‘exclusive’ streaming device for HBO NOW. That doesn’t mean it will be the only way to watch it though. HBO NOW will be available for use through any regular web browser. Apple also announced yesterday that they are dropping the price of Apple TV to $69. It was previously $99.

HBO NOW will be HBO’s second streaming service. The first, HBO GO, is part of their regular cable subscription service and is available to cable subscribers at no extra charge.
