Galaxy S4 Features – Air Gestures, SmartPause, Floating Touch & More!

After a lot of reports, rumors, leaks and predictions, Samsung Galaxy S4 is OFFICIALLY here.

Samsung revealed the handset on 14th March at Radio City Music Hall in New York at 7 p.m E.T.

The phone has a 5-inch Super HD AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 1,920×1,080.

The internal SD card has three storage options; 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB, and users can add a microSD card to add another 64 GB, making it a high-storage device.

The battery is 2,600 mAh.

The rear camera is 13-mega-pixels and is jam packed with new features. There’s an Eraser mode that allows the user to quickly take pictures, and smartly detects any movement in the background, letting the user delete it later. The Cinema also allows the user to take images and choose a particular part of an image to move while the other parts stay at their place.

The device has a built in Samsung S Translator tool that translates into different languages for the user. Some of the supported languages include Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.

There’s a built-in voice assistant that can assist the user with phone features such as reading out e-mails and text when asked to and it also has the ability to handle the navigation.

SmartPause was a highly expected feature, as there were leaked videos demonstrating the feature before the event, and it’s there in the phone.

However, what wasn’t expected was the eye scrolling feature, which allows the user to scroll up and down. It’s there in the device, but the phone has to be slightly titled to make the scrolling work by looking up and down.

Floating Air Gestures make Galaxy S4 all more appealing. Users can swipe up, down, left, right to preview things such as e-mail without actually touching the display.

Samsung also included an S Health feature that converts the device into a pedometer and an S Band option that can monitor a heartbeat.

The phone is expected to arrive in the next quarter on about 400 carriers around the world.

The pricing for the handset is still unknown, but we expect that information to come out soon.
