Starting today, Girl Scout Cookies can be ordered online through the personalized websites of local scouts.
But before you start jingling with joy, there is a catch: you must know a girl scout and be invited to use their platform, whether in person, online, via email, or on their mobile app.
For those (like me) who do not know a girl scout, you cannot gain access and place an order- you’ll just have to wait and hope for the doorbell to ring.
Also, the program is not available in all areas right now. But more locations are being added, so inquire with your local chapter or scout.
If you are lucky enough to know a girl scout and it’s available by you, you can ask them to add you as a digital customer and order away. You can even gift cookies or donate them to charity.
When you order online, the cookies arrive in 3-5 business days; orders taken in person will not ship until February. Booth sales will start February 12.
This year’s cookies include Do-si-dos, Rah Rah Raisins, Samoas, Savannah Smiles, Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Toffee-tastics, Trefoils and more.
The Girl Scouts of America first launched digital orders last year to help girls learn hands-on about marketing, budgeting, and other business skills.
You can find out more about the program here.
