Golden Globe Awards 2014: Nominations And Presenters!

The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards will be held this Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Viewers can tune in to NBC at 8ET/5PT to catch the live televised event.

Both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return as hosts for the big event honoring the best in film and television.

As last year’s hosts, the two drew in 19.7 million total viewers, giving the awards show its highest viewership in six years.

The 2014 list of presenters includes Tom Hanks, Chris Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Seth Meyers, Liam Neeson, Margot Robbie, Mark Ruffalo, Kyra Sedgwick ,Channing Tatum, Emma Watson, Naomi Watts, Olivia Wilde, Kevin Bacon, Julie Bowen, Laura Dern, Robert Downey Jr., Jimmy Fallon, Colin Farrell, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence, Uma Thurman and Reese Witherspoon.

This year’s Golden Globe film nominations were led by 12 Years A Slave and American Hustle.

Each film received a total of seven nominations, including Best Drama Picture for 12 Years a Slave and Best Comedy or Musical Picture for American Hustle.

Both films face steep competition within their respective categories, with 12 Years A Slave up against some of the year’s biggest drama films like Gravity and Captain Phillips, while American Hustle faces off against Her, Inside Llewyn Davis, and The Wolf of Wall Street.

In the television categories, Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey received top nominations, including Best Drama Series.

FOX’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine has also proven to be a success, landing two noteworthy nominations including Best Comedy Series and a Best Actor in a Comedy Series nomination for Andy Samberg.

Woody Allen will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award; however he will not be attending the ceremony. Diane Keaton is scheduled to accept the award on his behalf.

Nominations for the 2014 Golden Globes were announced in December 2013 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
