Guess whose hosting the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards on NBC in 2013?
If you’re thinking of the reoccurring host Ricky Gervais, think again.
It’s none other than Saturday Night Live (SNL) alums and current 30 Rock’s Tina Fey and Parks and Recreation’s Amy Poehler.
This is a brilliant move by the Hollywood Foreign Press. These two have proven their undeniable chemistry in the comedy movies Baby Mama and Mean Girls. They also hilariously presented together at the 2008 Emmy’s.
NBC’s president of alternative and late night, Paul Telegdy, released a statement regarding the choosing of the new hosts: “Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year’s festivities is a major coup. Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama.”
The date for the Golden Globes awards show is set for January 13, 2013. It will be broadcast on NBC.
