Golden Krust Patties Issues Recall To Over 9 Million Of Their Products

Golden Krust Patties, best known for their Jamaican style patties,  has issued a nationwide recall on over 9 million pounds of their chicken and beef products due to mislabeling and undeclared allergens.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS)  it was discovered during a routine inspection that the recalled products (which you can find below) contain egg-which is not listed on the labels.

Individuals with an allergy to eggs can suffer severe, even fatal symptoms if they accidentally eat the products.

The products in question were shipped to stores throughout the U.S. and  have establishment  numbers ‘EST. 18781 and P-18781′ and expire between January 24, 2015 through February 26, 2016.

FSIS recommends that anyone who has the products in their possession return them to the store for a full refund

They also are directing consumers with any questions can  contact Herma Hawthorne, Director of Compliance, at (855) 565-0561; anyone with health concerns should contact a physician.

12-lb. cases containing 3-count packages of “Golden Krust Jamaican Style Mild Beef Patties.”
12-lb. cases containing 3-count packages of “Golden Krust Jamaican Style Chicken Patties.”
15-lb. cases containing “Golden Krust Jamaican Style Spicy Beef Patties.”
15-lb. cases containing “Golden Krust Jamaican Style Mild Beef Patties.”
15-lb. cases containing “Golden Krust Jamaican Style Chicken.”
