Good ‘N’ Fun Dog Treats Expand Recall

Salix Animal Health LLC of Deerfield, FL, has voluntarily expanded its recall of its Good ‘N’ Fun treats due to Salmonella contamination.

The recalled product is the 2.8oz bags of Good ‘N’ Fun Beefhide Chicken Sticks (UPC: 091093822471) with the item code number 82247 and expiration dates 02/2018, 03/2018, 04/2018, 05/2018, 06/2018, 07/2018, and 08/2018.

Consumers who have purchased the contaminated product are to call Salix Animal Health’s consumer affairs team at 1-800-338-4896 Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm EST to learn how to receive a refund.

To date, no cases of illness or death have been reported in humans or animals in association with this recall.

Pets with Salmonella may experience some or all of the following symptoms: abdominal cramping, diarrhea (possibly bloody), decreased appetite, fever, lethargy, and vomiting.

Pets may be infected with Salmonella, yet not show any signs of illness. Regardless if your pet shows symptoms, he is still a carrier of the illness and can pass it on to other animals and humans. Contact your veterinarian right away if you dog has consumed contaminated Good ‘N’ Fun Beefhide Chicken Sticks.
