Grey’s Anatomy: Christina’s Farewell Begins-Sneak Peek {Videos}

This weeks ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ (episode 23) will center largely around Christina (Sandra Oh) who is leaving the series next week during the season finale after 10 years with the show.

The clips provided indicate that there will be a lot of tears starting tonight.

Christina has decided to take the job  her former lover Dr. Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington) offered her to run his clinic in Zurich.

She and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) are doing their typical back-and-forth banter as they debate whether or not Owen ( Kevin McKidd) is really supportive of her decision to go.

It’s nice to see them back to being each other’s “person” since they were at odds for most of the season, upsetting a lot of fans since it is Oh’s last year.

As a fan from day one I personally found this story line one of the worst in the shows history: it was uncomfortable to watch because it didn’t feel true to the characters.

Owen meanwhile,  gets down on one knee in the clip to ask Christina “something”, which can only mean he is going to pop the question.

Since Sandra Oh is leaving, chances are her answer will be no, circumstances once again keeping these 2 apart.

Owen and Christina have been one of the shows most popular couples and fans have been waiting for their reunion (myself included), but it looks like it’s too late.

The rest of tomorrow night’s episode will focus on Meredith bonding with Derek’s (Patrick Dempsey) sister Amelia (Caterina Scorsone), Bailey (Chandra Wilson) dealing with the fallout from her decision to treat  a patient without parental consent, Callie (Sara Ramirez) receiving “devastating” news and a resident about to be fired.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ airs Thursday nights at 9 P.M. (EST) on ABC
