During the Microsoft Gamescom meeting, some important announcements were made about the Halo franchise.
The foremost-and most interesting-announcement made was the launch of the Halo Channel.
The Halo channel is a digital network that will give viewers access to all shows, trailers, movies, and any web series about the Halo universe. This includes the popular live action YouTube series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, Halo: Nightfall, and information about the upcoming Halo TV series.
Along with streaming access to all your favorite Halo shows, the Halo Channel also integrates the extensive Halo encyclopedia and compatibility with Twitch for gameplay broadcasting.
Moving past the TV shows, the date for the upcoming title Halo 5: Guardians was announced.
The open beta will begin on December 29th and end on January 18th. Unfortunately, the beta is an Xbox One exclusive. Those owning Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be guaranteed a reserved spot in the beta testing.
