Halo, Purely For Pets has voluntarily recalled select packages of its Spot’s Stew Wholesome Turkey Recipe Sensitive Formula for Cats kibble due to reports of mold.
The recalled products are the 3- and 6-pound bags of Spot’s Stew Wholesome Turkey Recipe Sensitive Formula for Cats (UPC 745158350231 and 745158340232) with a best by date of 09/04/2016.
No other Halo products are included in this recall.
Consumers who have purchased this recalled kibble should discontinue feeding it to their pets and take it back to any Halo retailer for an exchange or full refund.
Concerned pet parents can contact Halo, Purely For Pets via phone at 800-426-4256 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday.
No illnesses or deaths have been reported in animals or humans in correlation to this recall.
Some pets can consume mold and not show any symptoms or issues. Other pets will experience digestive problems and should be taken to their veterinarian right away.
