Hard Rock Cafe Changes The Beat Of Its Menu: New Choices Plus Updated Favorites

Hard Rock Café launched a redesigned menu this week that offers guests new food and beverage choices as well as updates on old favorites.

According to the company, over 14 months of testing, research, and development were put into the menu redesign with guests in cafes across the world being surveyed to provide feedback.

New items were added in each menu category.

Three new salads include Grilled Chicken Chop Salad, Grilled Chicken Arugula Salad, and Cobb Salad, while new desserts include House-made Carrot Cake, Molten Lava Cake and Cheesecake with Oreo Cookie Pieces.

A new Grilled Vegetable Sandwich features “freshly grilled vegetables, spicy Monterey Jack cheese, with a dash of Balsamic reduction on toasted sour dough bread.”

In the meat category, new entrees include the 16-ounce Cowboy Rib eye and Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich.

Updated side items allow for more customization of meals and include Yukon Mash Potatoes and Daily Fresh Vegetables.

Hard Rock’s research led them to leave some original menu items in place as they were while others received minor tweaks for improvement.

The Jumbo Chicken Wings have been brought back as “Rockin’ Wings” flavored with “a reformulated signature smoked 10-spice rub and a choice of Classic Rock, Tangy or Heavy Metal Sauces.”

Hard Rock’s Nachos have received an update with layers of mixed cheeses replacing queso, and new toppings including pulled pork or beef brisket being added.

Hickory Smoked Chicken Wings, Hickory Smoked BBQ Ribs, Grilled Norwegian Salmon, and the Legendary Burger all received minor updates as well.

Not to be left out of the mix, offerings in the beverage category contain not only new recipes, but also new “serving vessels and techniques.”

Margarita lovers can indulge in the Air Mexico which includes “a sampling-sized portion of Hard Rock’s classic tasty margaritas” and “allows guests to choose three flavors, including Watermelon, Mango, Cucumber, Blue Curacao, Pomegranate or Wildberry, served with a portion of chips & house made salsa.“

Another new addition to the drink menu is the Raspberry Press, a “sweet fruit cocktail made with fresh hulled and sliced strawberries, fresh raspberries, lemonade, lemon-lime soda, and Clementine Vodka, garnished with a lemon wedge” and “served in a coffee-press style vessel that infuses fruit into the cocktail throughout the drinking process.”

The latest trends have been taken into consideration with a new subset of the drinks menu that’s devoted to “sweet and savory.” Bacon, chocolate, salted caramel, and spiced brown sugar have been incorporated into the ingredients of various drinks.

New milkshakes are making their debut– some with alcohol, some without– and include the Vanilla Root Beer Shake, “blended with rum, spiced brown sugar syrup, vanilla vodka, half and half, vanilla ice cream, blended with a few ounces of root beer, garnished with a dollop of whipped cream.”

Hard Rock Café says its new menu “features Hard Rock’s authentic American, made-from-scratch cuisine, a commitment to fresh ingredients and the signature flair that guests can only get at Hard Rock.”

The new menu began rolling out in cafes across the U.S. and Europe this week.
