The Harry Potter books are wildly popular and have reached a wide range of people. And while the series has received new covers in the past, Bloomsbury Children’s Books has deemed it necessary to make even more for new readers.
The book publisher will re-release the Harry Potter series with new covers designed by Jonny Duddle this Fall.
Bloomsbury and Potter author J.K. Rowling selected Duddle as the artist who would tackle the new designs, with the artist having worked on award-winning picture books in the past.
“I’m hugely excited to work my way through the wonderful books,” said Duddle. “I couldn’t have asked for more enjoyable subject matter. It’s exciting, daunting and I feel the weight of responsibility, and I’m just hoping that my illustrations faithfully reflect the characters and world created by J.K.Rowling.”
While the new artwork is the highlight of the new release, the 7-book series will also feature an updated biography of Rowling, as well as information on Pottermore, the online hub for all things Harry Potter.
