Heads Up: Free Streaming Movies & TV From Amazon Coming Soon?

Amazon already offers Prime Instant video as part of its paid Prime membership package, but free video streaming is also on its way, if a report by New York Post is to be believed.

The free movies and TV shows will be ad supported, unlike Prime Instant Video.

Amazon has not disclosed that the free video streaming service will become available. However, industry insiders believe that the lack of acknowledgment from Amazon doesn’t mean the product won’t be available soon.

In March 2014, the Wall Street Journal reported that this move was being contemplated by Amazon.

If free video streaming becomes a reality, Amazon will further challenge competitors like Netflix and Hulu. Hulu already streams free ad -supported videos.

It’s been reported that about half of Amazon Prime 50 million subscribers stream videos. Founded in 1994, Amazon is the largest on-line retailer in the United States.

What do you think of the idea of Amazon streaming of free movies and TV shows?

We can’t wait to see it!
