The king of all monsters has returned!
On Tuesday, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures released the first teaser trailer from the latest Godzilla remake.
Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen and Juliette Binoche.
The clip begins by showing a group of American military troops skydiving from a military plane to face off against an unseen enemy hidden below the clouds.
While we never clearly get to see what the troops were after, we do see a quick glimpse of our favorite raging monster, Godzilla, at the very end of the trailer.
What is also heavily apparent in the clip is the amount of destruction the city has faced at the hands of this enormous (and very ferocious looking) monster.
To coincide with the teaser trailer, a promotional website for the film, MutoResearch.net, has also been released.
The viral “government research” website also features video of Godzilla’s impending destruction.
Godzilla is scheduled to open in theaters May 16, 2014.
