Hot Father’s Day Sales On Tap For 2013

What’s on tap in Father’s Day sales this year?

On top of our list is the Kindle Fire HD from Amazon. It’s currently $20 off for Father’s Day (note the promo code in the above the fold ribbon). That makes the base model $179.

It used to be a rare day that any of the Kindles went on sale. We are seeing more frequent discounts now that it’s not as ‘new’ of a product, but it’s still uncommon enough to be noteworthy.

‘Course, we can’t consider the Kindle without also checking out B&N’s Nook HD tablet. Their Father’s Day sale knocks $70 off of their base model, bringing it down to $129.

Both these big sellers are pushing instant gift cards for last minute Father’s Day shopping.

Best Buy is wrapping up their Father’s Day sale today. It’s actually not as impressive as we had hoped for. The one thing that does stand out is the Dynex™ 60″ Class (60″ Diag.) LED 1080p 120Hz HDTV. It’s $500 off (listed at $699 for Father’s Day) and has received high rankings from shoppers.

HomeDepot.com has a nice little gift finder that organizes gift ideas by price. They have a variety of tools, grill, and other such stuff on sale. Currently grills over $399 ship free.

Walmart also has a gift finder, but rather than price, this one lists potential gifts that can be bought online and picked up the same day (if ordered before 5pm, otherwise it’s next-day).

Staples has a number of tablets, laptops, printers, shredders, office chairs, desks and a variety of other items up to 50% off in their Father’s Day sale here.

Kmart has up to 25% off on their HDTVs and up to 50% off men’s clothes in their sale. There is also a coupon code available on their home page for another 15% off men’s clothes on orders over $50.

According to the National Retail Federation, the average person will spend $119.84 on Father’s Day gifts this year, up from $117.14 last year.
