Hulu Plus Streaming Coming Soon To Nintendo 3DS & Wii

If you have a Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo Wii, you will soon have access to thousands of hours of streaming TV shows and movies via Hulu Plus… for a monthly cost.

According to an announcement this morning by Nintendo’s President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime, both devices will be able to stream a number of current shows, like Dancing With The Stars, Modern Family, and Glee, along with a huge number of classic (older) shows from Hulu’s video library.

The cost of the service will be $7.99 per month.

Fils-Aime also announced that at the end of next month, there will be a software update for the Nintendo 3DS that, amongst other things, will allow users to record video in 3D. Currently, users can only take stills in 3D. 3D videos will be limited to 10 minutes of recording time.

The announcement included details of new games coming to the Nintendo 3DS soon, including Mario Kart 7, which will allow players to race against other players online. Other Nintendo 3DS games that will be released soon include Pokemon Rumble Blast, Super Mario 3D Land, and The Legend Of Zelda, Skyward Sword.

No firm date was provided for Hulu Plus availability on the Nintendo devices, just that it is “coming soon.”
