At last there is a breach in the secrecy of Apple castle. Words about a 4G iPhone 5 is out now from an executive of Etisalat, which is a cellular carrier in UAE.
The Chief Corporate Communication Officer of Etisalat, Ali Al Ahmad, has said to Gulf News, “We are in talks with most smartphone manufacturers including Apple on the rollout of the 4G handset, iPhone 5, later this year.” In an interview about the strategic plans of Etisalat and introducing LTE network nationwide, this spokesperson’s one line about the iPhone 5 has excited media all over the world.
From his statement, many assumptions have come out. One possibility is that he has revealed something about Apple without realizing the impact, and the other, or the worst possibility, is that he does not even know about the products about which he spoke about and misnamed it. If this executive is right, then the iPhone 5 may be coming out earlier than most analysts expect. The next generation iPhone was not expected to appear in the market before next year. So many are expressing doubts about Etisalat’s possibility of using iPhone 5 in their LTE network by this year.
According to other sources, Apple’s next iPhone, which may be called the iPhone 5, or perhaps Phone 4GS, will come out in September which, and will feature an 8-megapixel camera and an A5 chip.
