Once again Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting his after the Oscars special on ABC immediately following the local news after the awards show.
This will be Kimmel’s 9th Oscar special and it promises not to disappoint.
“House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey will be the main attraction.
Spacey is a two-time Academy Award winner and his show is an Emmy winner so he is no stranger to the awards scene. He is sure to have a lot to say about the night’s events.
In addition to Spacey there will be a slew of today’s hottest celebrities. Some of the stars scheduled to appear are: Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Martin Scorsese, Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth, Christoph Waltz, Ben Kingsley, Mandy Patinkin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Seth Rogen, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Anjelica Huston and many more.
Last year’s JKL special was his most successful ever. It centered around a fictitious movie trailer featuring a never-ending parade of celebrities called: “Movie: The Movie Twovie”. It has since been viewed on YouTube over 28 million times.
Kimmel is known for his extravagant post-awards show. In previous years he has had stars such as: Channing Tatum, Robert Downey Jr., Billy Crystal and his “nemesis” Matt Damon.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live: After The Oscars” airs live on Oscar Sunday, March 2 after the late local news. You can also catch “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on the web at: www.abc.com/JimmyKimmeLive
