Add Sears and Kmart to the list of retailers open Thanksgiving Day.
Both stores announced today they’ll be opening their doors on Thanksgiving Day and staying open through late evening on Black Friday.
Sears will open its doors at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, November 28 and remain open until 10 p.m. on Black Friday, November 29.
Over 1,000 doorbusters are being offered at Sears through 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Kmart will be offering Black Friday deals all 41 hours it’s open from 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day until 11 p.m. on Black Friday.
Hours can vary by location though. Due to state laws, stores in Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Puerto Rico will not be open on Thanksgiving Day.
Instead Kmart and Sears stores in Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island will open at 12:30 a.m. for Black Friday.
Stores in Puerto Rico will open at midnight for Black Friday.
Seasonal associates and volunteers will be staffing the stores.
Both Sears and Kmart are offering a number of conveniences to make holiday shopping less hectic.
Shop Your Way members can choose Free Store Pickup when shopping online.
In addition, members have the option to purchase gifts online and make them available for family or friends to pick up at a Sears or Kmart store anywhere.
Black Friday deals will also be available online and through the Shop Your Way, Sears, and Kmart mobile apps.
Customers who can’t find an item in-store can still order the product in-store and have it shipped to their home for free.
Kmart is offering a lease-to-own solution to budget woes for holiday shopping.
Starting November 22, customers can take advantage of the program offered through Whynot Leasing. Even doorbuster items will be eligible to take home immediately through the leasing program, with no credit required.
Sears is giving cardholders and Shop Your Way members bonus reward points from November 3 through December 26 on “the first $1,000 of each qualifying purchase at participating Sears locations and at Sears.com.”
Shop Your Way members will earn 10% in reward points when using a Sears card or 3% with other methods of payment.
Reward points are redeemable through January 31, 2014.
