Lady Gaga Tops 11M Twitter Followers – Here’s What She Said About It

This morning Lady Gaga became the first person in the history of Twitter to reach over 11,000,000 followers. Gaga has also been the first person to surpass six, seven, eight, nine and ten million followers on the popular networking site. The only celebrity that has been able to stay anywhere close to Gaga’s Twitter popularity is young musician Justin Beiber, with a little over 10,420,000 followers. The third most popular person on Twitter is U.S. President Barack Obama with over 8,680,000 followers.

Shortly after reaching over 11,000,000 followers, Lady Gaga posted the following message via Twitter:

“#11MillionMonsters. You always cheer me up. #TwitterQueenLovesSubway. Turkey and Swiss w Jalapenos on Whole Wheat Salt n’ Peppa Oil Vinegar.”

A few minutes afterwards, the superstar took some time out of her busy schedule to start a “TwitterTalk” with her fans on Twitter by tweeting, “Let’s start a TwitterTalk. What are everyone’s opinions on the Legalization of Gay Marriage in NY and America? How does it effect equality?”

Hundreds of tweets per second began pouring in from individuals from all regions of the world expressing their opinions on this matter. Lady Gaga supports gay marriage, equality and freedom for all. According to Gaga, “I feel the denial of gay marriage sends a prejudice message. Our youth deserve a fair and hopeful future with government that values us equally.”

Gaga has always had a strong influence on individuals regarding gay rights and equality, but now with her 11 million Twitter followers, the “Twitter Queen” will be able to reach out to more.
