Lashkar-e-Taiba Plotting Holiday Terror

The Mumbai police commissioner issued an official statement and said that there are 4 suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives that have came into the city with a wish to launch terrorist attacks during the holiday celebrations.

Now India is in high alert and it seems that the terrorists managed to enter the country through the Bangladeshi border.

Roads were barricaded immediately in Mumbai and the traffic was closed near Taj Mahal. That was where an attack by the same Pakistani organization killed 31 people in 2008.

According to the commissioner the 4 jihadists have been identified and the police are looking for them. Another senior police official declared that one of them might have changed his look as soon as the sketch was released. Authorities are working hard to apprehend the suspects.

Unfortunately this marks the second statement of this kind in just 4 months. Lashkar-e-Taiba is a big threat for India because it aims to destroy different landmarks that show the economical power of the country. The good news is that since 2008 Mumbai has not been the center of any attack and since the police are in alert the chances of a successful terrorist attack are small.
