Latest In Alzheimer’s Research Now Online

The Alzheimer’s Association has announced the creation of a new website designed to make latest in Alzheimer’s research and information publicly available.

The site, www.alz.org/research, is being called the Alzheimer’s Association’s “Research Center”.  It is being launched at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease 2010 (AAICAD 2010) in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The site includes the latest news from researchers around the world, and provides information about how to volunteer for local clinical trials.  It will also have information on research grants available from the Alzheimer’s Association and highlights from the Alzheimer’s and Dementia: The Journal of the Alzheimer’s Association.

“We listened to our constituents, who said they wanted to know, learn and understand more. We hope this site serves as a catalyst for deeper understanding about Alzheimer research and a long-term dialogue with the public that encourages hope and engages them in the Alzheimer’s cause” said Angela Geiger, Chief Strategy Officer at the Alzheimer’s Association.
