Lindsay Lohan Granted Bail

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan headed back to jail Friday after having failed a drug test. Judge Elden Fox ordered the actress to serve time until her probation revocation hearing on October 22. The judge refused to hear arguments from attorney Shawn Chapman Holley regarding bail. However, after an appeal, it was decided that Lohan would be allowed to post $300,000 bond and be fitted with an alcohol detection bracelet.

Lohan tested positive for a controlled substance the week of September 17, she told fans about it later on Twitter. Admitting the results and her willingness to appear before the judge, the actress tweeted that she had a disease and was working hard to overcome it. She said she had messed up, but would accept responsibility for the actions she had taken. According to a close friend, she will voluntary check herself back into rehab within days.

While the actress seemed emotionless while being led off in handcuffs, her father, appearing outraged, made a public speech. He said that he hoped those destroying her life would be eliminated from it.

The probation she is accused of violating stems from two arrests in 2007 for driving under the influence. She was also charged with cocaine possession in the second incident.

The actress began her career at age 10 on a soap opera, before hitting the movies a year later as the twins in ‘The Parent Trap’ remake.
