Major Youtube Update: Up to 60 FPS Video and “Tip Jar”

YouTube, the biggest name in online video, has announced some new features.

In the coming months, YouTube will be rolling out a number of new features including; higher video frame rates and viewer tips.

Viewers and creators will see a drastic difference in video quality with the improved frame rates. The company will be increasing videos to 48 and 60 frames per second.

YouTube has released some examples of higher frame rate videos. These videos are found in this playlist here.

Additionally, the company has announced the implication of a “tip jar” for content makers. Viewers may now tip a monetary value to their favorite creators.
