Mars, Snickers & More Recalled In 55 Countries Due To Choking Hazard

Mars has issued a voluntary recall of several of its chocolate bars in over 55 countries due to a possible choking hazard.

The recall, which was announced today, includes Mars, Snickers and Milky Way bars that were produced in the Netherlands after a consumer complained of finding plastic in their chocolate bar.

So far this has been the only complaint and the company said in an official statement that this was a “precautionary move”.

The recall is for most of Europe and does not affect the US, where Mars is located.

Bars affected have a best before dates between June and October 2016; Celebration and Variety candy packs are also being recalled.

Those with questions or concerns should contact the company, although it will take some patience, as many are complaining it is hard to get through due to the number of people attempting to call.

What do you think of this recall?
