Feel like having an egg McMuffin at midnight?

How about a sausage burrito for lunch?

Well, now you can, but it may not be as great as you think!

Starting October 6th, McDonald’s will be serving breakfast all-day long nationwide, now that franchisees have approved the move.

McDonald’s patrons have been clamoring for this for years, making this move a no-brainer for the company, whose sales have been falling in recent years.

However, customers might want to hold off on the celebrating just yet, because this move does have its drawbacks.

To start, the all-day breakfast menu will be limited.

To keep things simple the menu will feature sausage burritos, hot cakes and, depending on the region, Egg McMuffins or biscuit sandwiches.

In addition, because demand for breakfast items vary during the day, after breakfast hours items will be made as-needed.

This means customer could be waiting longer than usual, which could be an issue – especially for drive-thru customers.

Last, but not least, other items will be removed from the menu to make room for the all-day breakfast. According to McDonald’s USA President Mike Andres, certain sandwiches or wraps will no longer be available, but which ones get eliminated will vary by region.

So what do you think about McDonald’s all-day breakfast menu?
