After a lot of speculation, the trailer for Metallica’s autumn 3D movie has now been released.
The “Metallica Through The Never” trailer showcases parts of the movie, a unique attempt to combine film with concert.
The story behind Metallica Through The Never follows Trip, a fictional character, who is a roadie that has to go on an important mission while a Metallica sold out show takes place.
Live performance footage of the band and a narrative are combined for the movie, which is scheduled to have its debut in IMAX theaters on September 27. Other theaters will have the movie available starting October 4.
Trip is seen battling riots, protesters and a horseman (possible reference to one of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse).
As expected, the entire soundtrack features songs from Metallica, and the live performance shots present in the movie were created especially for Metallica Through The Never.
