Mission: Impossible 5 Release Date Announced!

Mission: Impossible 5 Release Date Announced!

IMF Agent Ethan Hunt will be accepting his latest mission in theaters on Christmas Day 2015.

This week, Paramount Pictures announced a December 25, 2015 release date for the fifth installment of the Mission: Impossible film franchise.

Tom Cruise has already signed to reprise his role as Hunt; however, it is still uncertain as to which IMF agents from Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol will be joining him.

Ghost Protocol co-starred Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Paula Patton.

The fourth film of the Mission: Impossible franchise was tremendously successful, earning an estimated $700 million worldwide.

Cruise will serve as a producer for Mission: Impossible 5, along with Star Wars: Episode VII director J.J. Abrams.

The film will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie.

McQuarrie recently directed another Cruise flick, Jack Reacher.

With a December 25th release date, Mission: Impossible 5 will definitely have some competition at the box office.

Other films opening the same day include Kung Fu Panda 3 and the Ben Affleck crime drama, Live By Night.

If you head to the movies on Christmas Day, would Mission Impossible be your first choice, or one of these others?
