The computer-animated comedy was released in theaters last June and was an immediate hit, grossing more than $743 million at the box office.

Monsters University is a prequel to Monsters, Inc (2001) and features Mike and Sulley in their college years. Lending their voices to the project are  Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Bob Peterson, and John Ratzenberger.

Oddly, Walmart does not have the DVD listed on their site. They do have the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack available at the same price as Amazon, and $24.99, and the 3-D version is $29.99.

Target has the DVD available online for $15.99. Their Blu-ray/DVD combo pack is priced at$22.99 – the best price we found online during our pricing survey. Their Blu-ray 3-D version is $29.99.

On AT&T’s U-verse on-demand cable service the movie is priced at an overnight rental of $6 ($7 for the HD version). it’s widely available through other cable on-demand services as well.

Though Netflix does have a deal with Disney for movies, it’s likely to be a while before Monsters University is available streaming from them.
