Mortal Kombat X Finally Comes To Android

After being exclusive to iOS for a month, Mortal Kombat X is finally available for Android.

Fans have eagerly anticipated this app, as it plays a key role in unlocking hidden costumes on the console version.

The mobile version of the popular fighting game is graphically identical to its Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC counterparts. Gameplay-wise, the two play out very differently.

The app uses touch-based combat and a tag team system not found in the console.

It actually plays very similarly to other NetherRealm Studios mobile games such as Injustice: Gods Among Us and WWE Immortals.

In addition, completing certain objectives in the app will unlock additional costumes for use in the main game that you can’t normally obtain by any traditional means. It uses WBPlay to sync the two versions, allowing the cross-platform unlock system to occur.

The app takes up about 1.1 GB of space and 1 GB of RAM. Meaning that you’ll need good Wi-Fi and a high-end device.

Overall, the app is a very good investment if you already have the main game. If not for gameplay, then definitely for the unlocking of rare costumes.
