Muhammad Ali Funeral Coverage: Time, Channels & Streaming Options

He was “The Greatest,” so it’s only fitting that he get a great send-off for all the world to see.

Muhammad Ali, known as much for his boxing as his role as an activist and humanitarian, will be laid to rest today in his home state of Kentucky.

Ali died last week at the age of 74 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease; he will be honored with a procession and interfaith service at Louisville’s KFC Yum! Center.

Former President Bill Clinton, Billy Crystal and Bryant Gumbel are scheduled to give eulogies and Will Smith, along with former heavyweight champions Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson, will be pallbearers.

For those who interested, here is everything you need to know:

Time: The procession through the streets starts at 9 A.M. (EST)/ 6 A.M. (PST); the funeral service begins at 2 P.M. (EST)/ 11 A.M. (PST).

Channels & Streaming:

Most local and national stations,will have live coverage of the services, but check to be sure in your area.

ABC: ABC will cover the procession and funeral services as follows:

– Procession coverage will stream for free live starting at 9 A.M. (EST)/ 6 A.M. (PST).

-Funeral services will air on TV and stream online for free starting at 2 P.M. (EST)/ 11 A.M. (PST) via abc.go.com or through their WATCH ABC app for Android and iOS.

Please note that while this service is free, you will need to sign-in using a participating cable provider for access.  

NBC: NBC will cover the day’s events as follows:

-Procession coverage will stream for free online starting at 9 A.M. (EST)/ 6 A.M. (PST).

-Funeral services will air on TV starting at 2 P.M. (EST) and stream on NBCnews.com and through their NBC app for iOS, Android, Windows and other devices.

As with ABC, this service is free, but you will need to sign-in using a participating cable provider for access.  

ESPN: ESPN will provide coverage of the procession and services on TV and streaming for free via their website, espn.go.com or through their WatchESPN app for iOS and Android.

CNN: CNN will have coverage throughout the day on TV and streaming for free on CNN.com and the CNN app for iOS and Android.
