The Muppets are about to launch their own SiriusXM channel and play back to back Muppet music, excerpts, and commentary, all week long.
Now, if that doesn’t scare you away, we’ll go on with the details.
SiriusXM announced on Friday that ‘Muppet Radio’ will air for a limited time, five days only, during the week of Thanksgiving. It will start November 23 at 12:01AM ET, and will wrap up November 28 at 3:00AM ET. It will be available through SiriusXM channel 145, SiriusXM internet channel 813, and through the SiriusXM app on Limited Engagements 3.
Disney will premier their new movie “The Muppets,” on November 23, the same day that Muppet Radio hits the satellite airwaves.
According to SiriusXM, Muppet Radio will be playing music from the new movie, plus holiday classics (remember the John Denver/Muppets Christmas special?), and older tunes from the Muppets archives. There will also be clips of celebrity appearances and interviews with the Muppets.
‘The Muppets’ is the first new Muppet movie in 12 years. The movie will be rated PG, for some “mild rude humor.” Along with the Muppets, the movie will star Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, and Rashida Jones.
